Geothermal Heat Pumps
Geothermal heat pumps are similar to air-source heat pumps, but instead of using heat found in outside air, geothermal heat pumps rely on the relatively constant temperature of the earth to heating or cool indoor air and to provide hot water to your home. Because geothermal heat pumps use the earth as a natural heat source and heat sink, they provide efficient and comfortable home heating and cooling. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), geothermal heat pumps can reduce energy consumption and related emissions by 23 percent to 44 percent.
